What you can do

  • Type a fraction, mixed number, decimal or negative number, or click the line; move a point by dragging it or with the arrow keys.
  • Choose the range and how each whole is split, from halves to twelfths or hundredths; label points as fractions, mixed numbers or decimals, or hide the labels.
  • Turn on the jumps from zero to each point and the distance between two selected points.
  • In Intervals mode, type an interval or a linear or absolute value inequality and see the solution on the line with steps, or the union or intersection of sets.
  • Download the line as a PNG with a white or transparent background for a worksheet or presentation.
