Linear Equations and Inequalities
Worksheets in which students build equation solving on equivalence rather than on rules learnt by heart. They start with the scales and algebra tiles, then move on to brackets, fractions, special cases, parameters, word problems, and the absolute value as a distance. In the second part students write solutions as intervals and solve linear and double inequalities, products and quotients with a sign table, and inequalities with absolute values. The third part is about systems of equations: graphically, by substitution and by elimination, with a parameter and with three unknowns. The last sheet is a group game with a check.
