Line Explorer
Linear functions y = mx + b: slope as rise over run, the y-intercept, the line through two points, forms of the equation and a Guess the line game.

What you can do
- Compare two ramps and decide which is steeper; Ratios and Steps show that rise over run, not height alone, decides the steepness.
- Drag the y-intercept point and the slope point or type an equation, and the slope triangle shows the run and rise on the graph.
- Drag points A and B to see the line through them and its slope worked out from their coordinates.
- In Guess the line, write the equation of a dashed line or drag a line to match an equation, then check and keep score.
- Show a table of values and the forms of the equation, and download the graph with its equation as a PNG.
