Two right-angled triangles and a tilted square made of rubber bands on a 7 × 7 wooden geoboard

What you can do

  • Choose one of eight boards: square 5 × 5, 7 × 7 or 11 × 11, coordinate, Functions, isometric, or circular with 12 or 24 pegs.
  • Stretch a band from peg to peg, pull a side onto another peg to add a corner, and choose one of eight colours and three thicknesses.
  • Select a band to see its number of pegs, its perimeter (exact, with square roots) and its area in square units or unit triangles.
  • On the Functions board a band shows the whole line, its slope triangle and equation; Equation → band and Band → equation tasks check themselves.
  • Draw with the pen, undo and redo, choose a wood, black-and-white or transparent board and download the picture as a PNG.
